Add a Property to My Real Estate Website

Adding properties is pretty simple if you follow these steps. If you need to, click the links in the checklist to watch a video for each step.

• STEP 1: Edit Property Photos using Picasa [VIDEO]
  • 1.1. Copy photos from camera to folder on desktop
  • 1.2. Add folder to Picasa >> File > Add folder
  • 1.3. Edit photos
    • 1.3.i. Ajust fill light & shadows
    • 1.3.ii. Crop photos (12:10 Widescreen)
  • 1.4. Export photos
    • 1.4.i. Name export folder “Exported Photos”
    • 1.4.ii. Resize to 940px
    • 1.4.iii. Maximum quality
• STEP 2: Log in to dashboard [VIDEO]
• STEP 3: Add New Post [VIDEO]
  • 3.1. Add Post Information
    • 3.1.i. Add a Title to the post
    • 3.1.ii. Add a Description of the property in the post content
    • section
    • 3.1.iii. Add an Excerpt
• STEP 4: Select a Category for the property
  • 4.1. Home Showcase > Best Buys Homes For Sale or
  • 4.2. Home Showcase > Featured Homes For Sale or
  • 4.3. Home Showcase > Homes Sold
• STEP 5: In the Property Features section, add property details
• STEP 6: Add Directions
  • 6.1. Add a link to the Google Map Directions
  • 6.2. Add a link to the Bing Maps Aerial page
• STEP 7: Select the Post Type
  • 7.1. Property Post or
  • 7.2. Wide Property Post
• STEP 8: Add the Property Tag
• STEP 9: Check Boxes for appropriate display boxes
  • 9.1. Showing Box
  • 9.2. Directions Box
  • 9.3. Aerial View Box
  • 9.4. Virtual Tour Box
  • 9.5. More Information Box
• STEP 10: Upload Photos [VIDEO]
  • 10.1. Select “propertyPhoto” media tag for each property photo
  • 10.2. Select “primary” media tag for the main photo
  • 10.3. Get Map Screenshot & upload [VIDEO]
    • 10.3.i. 300px X 250px
    • 10.3.ii. Select “map” media tag
  • 10.4. Get Aerial Screenshot & upload [VIDEO]
    • 10.4.i. 300px X 250px
    • 10.4.ii. Select “aerial” media tag
